How does the process work?

Our firing process works in four easy steps:

 

1. Fill out our enquiry form, letting us know if you're after a bisque or glaze fire, and a heads up about what type of clay/glaze you're using is helpful too.

2. We'll then send you a waiver to sign and availability for dropping off. If you include a photo of your pieces we can give an idea of a cost up front. Our kiln pricing works per layer/shelf in the kiln. See pricing here.

​3. Once everything is confirmed, you can then drop your stuff off on the shelves located next to our Kiln, and we'll do the rest (load the kiln, fire your pieces, unload the kiln). Once we have loaded the kiln we can confirm how many shelves were filled and the cost.

4. Our standard turnaround time from dropping your pieces off is 7-10 days (depending on the schedule, sometimes it's sooner). We'll flick you a message once we've loaded your pieces up and let you know when you can collect them again.

The standard process is to get us to put your pieces through a bisque fire first. After that's done and we've let you know when you can collect, you'll take them home, glaze them and then when you're ready you can email us to book in for the glaze firing.
